Salamander Festival Guided Hikes with Friends of Shades Creek

The hikes take place at Homewood Forest Preserve – (on South Lakeshore Drive, at Homewood High School. Park in the Homewood High School parking lot, on the east side of the school (gym side) Look for the tent in the parking lot, where you will sign-in. Guided hikes will take place on Sunday afternoon, January 30 and Saturday afternoon, February 5.
The hikes are one-hour hikes. After your hike, you have the option to walk the Homewood Forest Preserve .7-mile nature trail which is self-guided with our Storyboard Nature Trail signs.

Please, wear a mask. For social distancing purposes, we are limiting our groups to just 10 people per group. Please arrive early, so you have time to check-in with our hike volunteers before the hike.
